Could someone tell me where the wastegate is located and what it looks like, my truck puffs a little white smoke on startup and puffs a little black underload so i think for what it cost i'll change it. thanks tom

read other wastegate post by TP and GMDT's reply, the wastgate is inside the turbo housing, but is not likely the problem, it would most likely be the vacuum system or the actuator on the side of the turbo.
