yeah get the PDC and then unplug it or take it off when you park, without it the theif will eventually have a PMD failure and get stuck, LOL

PDC is a fix for the failing 6.5's PMD module, but it can be unplugged and will disable the vehicle.

The PMD is the pump mounted driver and is the most common part to fail on the GM efi 6.5 Diesels, it fails usually due to heat and the poor engineering of locating it in the hot engine valley, that among other things contributes to PMD failures.

In most stalling cases of stalling, often the injection pump is blamed, but it I find like 99% of the time it is only the PMD that failed.
Once the PMD is damaged by heat it is no good and must be replaced.

Replacing the PMD in the original location will only solve the problem for a limited time as the location will contribute to repeated PMD failures.
To replace PMD in the original location requires a fair amount of labor, special tools and dealer specific equipment to reset timing etc.

However, there is an easier and better solution; The PDC (Pump Driver Cooler) from www.duramax.bizhosting.com is a remote mounting system complete with new PMD, cooler and a remote harness that allows mounting away from the hot engine, (no cutting, no splicing, it just PLUGS-IN, this is very as not to alter the vehicle wiring which would often result in problems on the 6.5)
The PDC Remote kit is the best and only lasting way to fix the PMD failure problem.
The PDC Remote kit is very easy to install, and no special tools, no adjustments, no settings and no trip to the dealer, the PDC simply plugs in and you mount it on the firewall.

I have tried and tested others 'copies' and none have the same research, development, testing and do not come close to the PDC's excellent track record. The PDC Remote kit is only available from www.duramax.bizhosting.com

PMD failure often results in a stalling condition that can be sudden and very dangerous, and I do not let my loved ones ride in any GM efi 6.5 Diesel vehicle that does not have the PDC Remote kit installed.
