 Subject: 97 6.5 diesel stalling

We have a 97 6.5L chevy diesel 2500 and up to 92,000 miles never really had a problem. Then it started dying. We have had the Fuel injection pump, fuel injection pump module replaced twice because the dealers said that was what was wrong. It never fixed the problem we are still dealing with it shutting down, but ours does it only after you have driven it and then turned it off for less than an hour and restart it. If you drive it for 250 miles without turning it off it was fine but now it is doing it whenever. We have had it on computer and pressure testers with a diesel mechanic and he told us to sell it. What does it cost for all 4 parts, PDC, OPS, PDM, and WMI you talked about and we live in NV, 1 hour outside of Reno. Can you also give us an idea on how to find a good diesel mechanic. You quoted $499 for the PDC/PMD kit. Any more info would be appreciated.
