Subject: Blow-off Valve on 6.5 Turbo Diesel?
IP: Logged

Message:
Does anyone run a blow-off valve in between the
intake and the turbo on the GM 6.5 Turbo Diesel?

I run one on my manual shift, Toyota Supra with great
results.

For anyone who doesn't know, a BOV works in that
when you let off the throttle, it allows for a small
amount of the pressureized intake "air" to bleed off
before it causes damage to things (usually rubber hose
connectors are the first to give way), by all that pressure
having no where to go.

Since Import tuners use them on trubocharged, gas cars
with Automatics, I just wondered if anyone has tried this
on the Turbo diesel engines with a Slush-box attached.

TIA.

Respectfully,

David M.
