I have 93 GMC 3/4ton 2wd with 120k would like to put a turbo on it.could i put a turbo and intake onto it off a 94 6.5.I plan to put a larger exgust pipe and muffler on it so it can breath and change head gaskets and maybe turn up the pump for more power.will it work and if so is there anything else i should do or be concerd about or would i be better off doing up a 6.5 turbo and putting it in my truck.

Adding a turbo and better/bigger tubes is good. I have found turning up the pump isn't necessary to get alot of power after the turbo/exhaust upgrade. More O2 in and easier out can maximize the fuel you already feed it. Adding extra fuel is the guestimate factor that may bump up your thermal output too much for the system to dissipate.

I vote for a turbo and exhaust system that has been engineered for specifically your motor. The initial cost is higher than a used 6.5 turbo swap but is cheaper (and easier) than replacing smoked a motor.
