Can anybody help my mechanic out? He has been pulling his hair out for two weeks trying to fix my 1999 Dodge 2500 24 valve turbo diesel 5.9 Cummings with a 5-speed.After driving with test equiptment hooked up,it seems the cam sensor is not delivering the info. needed to the ECM.He has: 1) Put on new sensor-No help. 2)New wiring harness(per Cummings engineer)-No help.Cummings doesn't seem to know. 3)Checked end play of cam.It is within spec. Any ideas???
