Tighten and she will start. pat Guest   3/27/2004 17:24:59 RE: 1986 chevy diesel won't start after fuel filter IP: Logged Message: if it,s the box type filter on the fire wall, there is a cirular cap on the top of the housing it looks like a giant philips head . a 25 cent coin will fit in slot. turn it counterclockwise while someone turns over the motor. fuel will run out, when it stops sputtering air close the cap. presto it runs. you may have to do this 2 or 3 times P 1
