I posted a few days ago about the 6.5 diesel that I am working on. It is hard to start weather it is cold or has been runnings. I have a new oil pressure switch, a new lift pump, a new pump relay, and power to the relay. If I use a jumper wire in place of the relay then I get power to the lift pump, but with the relay in place, and the key turned on, there is no power to the lift pump. Anyone experienced anything like this?

My dad's truck did that. We put in a new oil pressure sending unit switch and it didn't fix it. Had a mechanic friend at the GM dealer tell us to remove the new sending unit and clean the hole it screws into. Some silicone gunky stuff came out, it was plugging the sending unit!! This meant that engine had to crank for a long time to get oil pressured up enough to move the gunk. Spent a whack on new parts to find that out! Hope this might be your trouble.
