97 PSD throttle position sensor, where can I get one.

OK, I have determined that the TPS is bad on my 97 powerstroke f250, went to parts store the listed tps is nothing like the one on my truck, went to ford and was told the part is obsolete and the only way to get one is to the the throttle pedal assembly for $750.00. This is absurd for a $30 part.
Does anybody know where I can get one?

David

There is a slim chance that an International Dealer could have one. I have some doubt because Ford uses there own electronics on the PSD but sometimes use same sensors and switches as the T444E but its worth a shot.

Thanks for the reply ColoradoFan,

I found one at a junk yard for $100 but ended up getting it from the dealer for $300, I had to listen to my wife and get a new one, have to keep here happy with me even if not with the truck. The only good side to the problems of late on this truck is that she is ready to get a new one, so maybe I get a new truck out of the deal.

Thanks,

David
