Smoking MT80 Perkins

Perkins MT80 after sitting at idle speed for several minutes it produces a 3 to 4 ft dia cloud of bluish/white smoke upon acceleration. It also has evidence of oil on the cold (intake) side of the turbocharger. The engine starts instantly, runs smooth and strong from idle to 3600 rpm. Fuel consumption is normal inline with the charts and I believe it has about 2000 hrs. I suspect turbo oil seals. Any input before doing a rebuild kit on the turbo?

Take exhaust manifold off and see which cylinder port is wet. Sound like injector slobber to me.
But also could be oil if you are using any. You will be able to tell when looking at the exhaust ports.
