05 60 series 14 liter

We had the bearings seize up from a lack of oil. it has 307000 miles and it went the day the warranty died. detroit does not want to fix becuz they say lack of oil or poor quality oil. oil pump is working and the truck was going 60 miles an hour when low oil indicator went off (37 seconds) and promptly stopped running. oil pan had plenty of oil. ever heard of this? what can i do dont have 24000 for new motor.

i know exactly what you going thru i had the exact same problem on my cummins last year, messed up my rods and mains..but i had no warranty on mine, what i would do is seek legal advice because they get away with this stuff way to much, freightliner wanted 20,000 dollers for a new install ,i got a low mileage engine off ebay for 5500 and installed it i think i had 10,000 into it all together, but i have heard detroit trieng to bilk drivers for money, when its there fault, research it a little more and you will prob find more drivers with the same problems in the past, dont let up on them...good luck

That sucks man, dont know what to say, hope you can get something out of them.
Just to get you going for now while you fight this thing out, cant you put a crank and rod in it? Just a thought.
