2000 F250 7.3 liter turbo Deisel

Postby jsin67 » Wed Jul 01, 2009 2:05 pm

I have had minimal problems with my truck since I bought it in 2000. But this morning, I drove it to a job site and when I arrived, there was a stream of oil shooting up onto the turbo charger. After close inspection, I found that it was coming from a bolt or plug on the bottom rear portion of the fuel filter/water seperator housing. What should I do to fix this issue?

On the high pressure oil pump there is a cap with a c-clip holding it in, they are bad for leaking around it. The ones I have done I have went ahead and replaced the whole pump. Where abouts are u at?

Ok. This is definitely a cap on the back of the high pressure oil pump assembly. But is there anyway to fix this without having to replace the pump?

If it is a cap then unscrew it and put a new oring on it and call it good. Chances are it is loose.
