Hi,
We have a 61' boat with MAN D1840 LE 403, after sitting for a a few days, the engines will start and run for a while at idle, after a little while the port engine shuts down and will not restart. Then we have to go into the engine room, prime the fuel pump, then the engine will start, runs great and we can enjoy our day! MAN has looked at it and has no idea what it could be. Has anyone out there experienced this problem or have an idea where to look? Thanks in advance for your help.

This sort of behavior generally is caused by air leaking into the suction side of the fuel system while sitting.
