The power came back but this kept going on and seemed to do it over 1500 rpms any answers would be greatful for cummins tech told me bad ground but cannot find anything wrong.

Colin, Any fault that brings on a check engine light will register a fault code. These codes can normally be retrieved by means of a flash code ( you will need a code listing ) or by plugging in a reader, unless your truck has an in built reader eg. Cummins 'Road Relay'. A reader is by far the most accurate way as they can usually even isolate a fault down to a single wire shorting etc. and they are quite common place now amongst most reputable truck workshops. Hope this helps, Cheers Nick
