If truck sits more than 8 hours prior to starting the following occurs. It strarts right up, runs at idle OK but with any throttle it starts missing and loosing power. If it is on any incline the vehicle will loose enough power to stall. It also runs rough and smokes. After 3 to 4 minutes it collects itself and strarts running smoother until it cures what was the issue and then runs fine. this does not happen again until it sets more than 8 hours. the unit has 160000 miles on it. Any Thoughts?

Have u replaced anything? Sounds like u have a small leak in the suction side of the lift pump, and is bleeding off.
